Concession period due to COVID‑19 under Migration Amendment (Concessions) Regulations 2020. The COVID-19 concession is available to certain temporary and provisional visa holders including those who are on the pathway to permanent residence and disadvantaged. The applicants who were outside of Australia during all or part of the period commencing on 1 February 2020 and ending on 19 September 2020—in the period of 12 months immediately before the day the application was made. This regulation is a great relief to the above individuals who can now apply for their temporary subclass 485 visa or Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional Visa) holder, Skilled Designated Area Sponsored visa, subclass 475, 487, 489, 188 visa holders applying for Subclass 887, 888 or 790 visas.
